Give it a go. The going's probably faster than waiting for a lift or a bus. And certainly more fun.

It's good exercise, it's good for the environment and it's good for you. You'll arrive more awake, refreshed and you'll find it easier to concentrate in double maths!

Cycling to school also means that you have your own mode of transport and can choose the route that suits you best. Why not cycle by a friend's house and go in together?

You might even be able to join up with a cycling club after school - visit www.scottishcycling.com for more information.

Your school may have a Travel Plan that will give you more information about how to cycle to school - you can ask your teacher or School Travel Coordinator for details on how to get involved.

And it doesn't stop there. Weekends are a great time to get away with your friends and family and explore the hundreds of cycle trails and paths that run all over Scotland.
